About Us
Venture Underwriters began operations in April 2006.
It was formed to bring together experienced Primary General Liability Underwriters to underwrite Surplus Lines risks, produced exclusively by wholesale brokers , on behalf of Companion Specialty Insurance Company of South Carolina.
In spite of intense competition, we believe there is still a strong desire for solid, proven underwriting techniques to produce business with a superior loss ratio.
Since our beginning, we have grown to extend our program to excess policy placements produced by both our Atlanta and San Francisco offices.
